This listing is for my custom chasing and repoussé punches. Please read these instructions carefully and look at the image before ordering so I can make you the right thing!
I can make my punches in any size and shape, but there are some practical limits on what is reasonable for the cost so I do reserve the right to refund your order if the punch is abnormally large or a complex shape.
My punches are all hand forged with a square section shank for ease of indexing during use and a forged taper to the striking end to help focus the hammer blows, as well as resist “mushrooming”.
The punches are rounded over and have a bright polish to help them glide over the metal. They are made from hardened and tempered steel for a long life.
All my punches are 12cm long, a perfect length for general work but if you require something longer or shorter, just ask! My lining punches normally come with a 0.5mm edge, which is good for a delicate line but not so sharp as to cut into the metal unduly.
To order, please write the shape you require in the box provided and the sizes of dimension “x” and “y” in the appropriate places. Check the picture for which dimensions go where. If you are unsure what dimensions you might require, don’t be afraid to contact me.
All sizes are approximate because of the hand ground and polished nature of the punches.
