[Fold-Form Leaf Earrings Workshop]

Description

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own jewellery? This workshop will teach you how to make a beautiful pair of copper leaf earrings, finished with a pair of handmade sterling silver ear wires. Elegantly simple, these earrings still make a statement, and you will get plenty of compliments, particularly when you reveal you made them yourself!

In this half day workshop, you will learn the basics of fold-forming, a rich and versatile technique that transforms flat metal sheet into sculptural 3D forms.

This project will introduce you to annealing, filing, sawing and hammering.

This class takes place in my workshop in Newham Quay, Truro. Classes are limited to 5 students, to allow everyone to get the support they need. Parking is limited at the workshop, but it is only a 10 minute walk from the Garras Wharf car park beside Tesco. Detailed instructions on how to find the workshop will be attached to your booking email. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and there is a toilet on site. Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements. Unfortunately, my workshop is up a short flight of stairs and there is no disabled access.

This is a working workshop and so is a hazardous environment. Please wear old clothes, closed toed shoes and tie back long hair. I will supply aprons, and all the safety equipment you need. This course is suitable for all skill levels and ages 18+. The course will run from 9.30am-1pm, but if you need a little extra time to finish, that isn’t a problem!
