Description

Take your first steps onto the path of Chasing and Repoussé.

This class takes place over a long weekend and will give you a good grounding in the complementary techniques of chasing and repoussé. By the end of the weekend, you will have an understanding of the different tools and materials used for the work, and the confidence to continue your own studies. You will go home with a beautiful piece of chasing work on copper sheet and your own chasing tool, made in the class. You are welcome to bring some of your own work in to get advice on, and you are welcome to purchase silver sheet beforehand if you wish to work in silver.

This class takes place in my workshop in Newham Quay, Truro. Classes are limited to 4 students, to allow everyone to get the support they need. Parking is limited at the workshop, but it is only a 10 minute walk from the Garras Wharf car park beside Tesco. Please contact me if you need a parking space and I will try to allocate one for you. Detailed instructions on how to find the workshop will be attached to your booking email. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and there is a toilet on site. Please bring your own lunch. Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements. Unfortunately, my workshop is up a short flight of stairs and there is no disabled access.

This is a working workshop and so is a hazardous environment. Please wear old clothes, closed toed shoes and tie back long hair. I will supply aprons, and all the safety equipment you need. This course is suitable for all skill levels and ages 18+. The course will run from 10am-4.30pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

What is included: Everything you need to take part in the workshop is included in the price.

What you need to bring: Lunch!
